The purpose of this study was to provide educational materials to prevent descendants from repeating painful history through the oral records of survivors of Gimcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do and their families, whose families and relatives were forcibly mobilized during the Japanese colonial period. Our country's history has been a difficult process of survival, with repeated wars as well as cultural exchanges with China and Japan in Northeast Asia. From a historical perspective, this study aims to provide practical basic data to solidify the establishment of Korean national identity by educating on the history of resistance to the most recent deprivation of national sovereignty by Japan and the persecution of the Korean people during colonial rule. It was done. So far, as a nation, we have responded correctly to historical disputes between Korea, China, and Japan based on the memories of those who are still alive through external exchanges. This national response method has emphasized the importance of national identity education. As basic data for the country's response, we aimed to help understand the damage suffered by our people during the Japanese colonial period through oral records from survivors and their families. In addition, it was intended that encouraging the development of national identity among Koreans who overcame Japanese colonial rule would help future generations to properly understand their painful history and move toward the future.
